Blackford High School starts the school day at 8:03 a.m. and dismisses at 3:15 p.m. every day.

The school office hours are 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

BHS Announcements

 Bruin Club will held on Mondays and Wednesdays in the library from 3:15-4:30pm.

 All boys golfers should check the sheet hanging on the outside door of the outside door of the athletic office to make sure you are officially listed on the roster.  Those people with an * next to their names need to contact Coach Cunningham to get him the information he needs.  His phone number is on the sheet.

Cheer workouts and tryouts scheduled for next week have been postponed.  An announcement will be made once they are rescheduled.
 There will be a Spring Freshman Orientation on Wednesday, April 8th, from 6-8pm, in the BHS cafeteria. 

 There will be a Blood Drive on Thursday, April, 9th, from 7:30am-2:30pm, in the auxiliary gym.

A Math Blitz Night will be held on Tuesday, April 14th, from 6-7pm, in Room 212 and the BHS cafeteria.

 Hazardous Waste Day will be held at BHS on Saturday, April 18th, from 9am to 1:30pm, in the north parking lot.

 The Academic Banquet will be held at Lake Placid on Monday, April 20th, at 6pm.

 The BHS Football Mattress Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 25th, from 8:30am to 7pm, in the auxiliary gym.

 The Top Ten BHS Seniors Banquet will be held on Monday, April 27th, at Taylor University, 6pm. 

 ACT testing for Juniors will take on Tuesday, April 28th, in the upper gyms.

ECA Biology testing will take place during the day on Wednesday, April 29th.
 The BFT Future Teacher Scholarship Application is available in the guidance office and online under the guidance tab.  Applications are due back April 30th.

The First Annual Bruin 5K / Walk will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 9-11:30am.  The race will take place at the BHS school, but participants will follow the BHS cross country/track route.  Click here to access the entry form for the event.

 BHS Prom will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, from 7:30-11pm, at Lake Placid.  If you are bringing a guest, please be sure to pick up the dance request form and return it to the front office by Thursday, April 30th. 

The Blackford Bruin Boosters Athletic Scholarship Application is available in the guidance office and online under the guidance tab.  Applications are due May 1st.

**Weather Make-up Days for Students is March 23-25 and May 26-29 and June 1st, 2015.**
