Blackford High School starts the school day at 8:03 a.m. and dismisses at 3:08 p.m. every day.

The school office hours are 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

BHS Announcements

 
 Bruin Club will held on Mondays and Wednesdays in the library from 3:08-4:30pm.


JROTC has placed large boxes in each of the SRT classes to collect non-perishable food items, toiletries, gently used, cleaned, or new blankets, coats, gloves, or scarves for Blackford County residents needing assistance.  They will be collecting items for one month and the SRT that collects the most items will receive a pizza party.

 NHS applications for new members are due Friday, September 19th at 3:08pm.  See Ms. Bartlett if you did not receive an application.

 Homecoming week is September 15-19, 2014.  The Homecoming Parade, PowerPuff Football Game, and Bonfire will be held on Wednesday, September 17th. 

 College GO Week is September 22-26, 2014.

 There will be a baseball parent meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 6:30-7:30, in the BHS Library.

 There will be a BPA meeting after school on Wednesday, September 24th in Mrs. Minner's room (234). 

 A representative from University of Indianapolis will be at school on Monday, September 29th, at 9am.  Sign up in Guidance Office to meet with the representative.
 
A representative from Wabash College will be at school on Monday, October 20th, at 9am.  This visit will be for male students only.  Sign up in Guidance Office to meet with the representative.

September 22-26, 2014

Tuesday 9/23--7th/8th/9th grade students will visit Career Pathways at BHS.  Students will learn about the college -going culture created at BHS.
Wednesday 9/24-All juniors will take the ASVAB (career exploration program)
Thursday 9/25-All sophomores will take a college visit to Taylor University, Indiana Wesleyan, or Ivy Tech.  There will also be a college fair at Ivy Tech for sophomores to visit during the visits.

All seniors will be filling out college applications and completing college searches throughout the week!!
