Hello, my name is Melissa Blossom and I am the new Principal at Blackford Junior High School.  My previous experience has been with Marion Community Schools as both a teacher and administrator.  I am a long time resident of the city of Marion along with my husband, Josh, and our two sons.  I look forward to meeting the Blackford Junior High School students, faculty and staff, and community members over the next few days.

I am eager to work with the school community to build on the successes already in place at BJHS.  It is evident that the school corporation and community are committed to student success and have high expectations for those of us who directly impact our children.  My goal is to continue to support and build upon the initiatives that are already proving effective.  There are so many great things happening at Blackford Junior High!

I believe that Blackford Junior High is a place that all students can experience success.  I believe that the staff is 100% committed in helping students succeed in all areas related to our school.  I encourage you to support our students and staff at the extra-curricular events throughout the school year.  It is amazing to see the talents of our kids that are showcased outside of the regular school day.

I hope you had a wonderful summer break and I look forward to another successful school year.

Welcome Back,

Melissa Blossom
