The Indiana Purple Star School Designation honors schools that have displayed a significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military. The Purple Star School Designation is valid for a three-year time period. Schools awarded this designation are listed below.

Veterans' Day Celebration

Each year, the BJSHS JROTC program hosts a celebration and recognition event for the veterans of Blackford county. Below is the video from a recent event. The JROTC cadets plan and conduct this event on their own to build and strengthen their organizational and leadership skills.
