Mental Health assistance available at BCS

Blackford County Schools is not only committed to your child’s education but also to their safety and well-being. As a part of our Student Assistance Program, all BCS students have access to two prepaid counseling sessions through our partners at the Bowen Center. If your child requires more than the two free sessions, the Bowen Center will either work with your insurance or have a reduced fee for self-pay. Counseling sessions can be in person or virtual.

If you would like more information about the Student Assistance Program, please contact your student’s guidance counselor or school social worker, or simply call the Bowen Center at 1-800-342-5652 to schedule a confidential appointment.

If you or someone you know is feeling suicidal contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK or call 911.
