Thank you to the First Presbyterian Church of Hartford City for the generous donation to the Bear Necessities closets! Sponsored by the Health Careers students and donors, these cabinets help supply BJSHS students with free hygiene needs.
If you, or your organization, would like to be a part of the Bear Necessities program at BJSHS, please reach out to Mrs. Yvette Rouch at yrouch@blackfordschools.org.

Yes, you really are seeing twin sharks in the BJSHS Front Office! Celebrating their school spirit on Twin Day during Homecoming Week are Dawn Goodspeed and Amy Coons! Looking good, ladies!

The 7th grade Bruins in Ms. Shelby Capper's class at BJSHS enjoyed a tasty lesson!
According to Ms. Capper: Did you know waffles helped inspire the cofounder of Nike? 7th grade ELA maintenance class does now! They celebrated national waffle week by learning to write claims about how waffles helped shape the sneaker industry! Of course, we had to finish off the week with…WAFFLES!
Way to go, Bruins!

BPS staff kicked off the two-hour delay with Assistant Superintendent David Parker discussing Growth Mindset and Productive Struggle during his portion of staff training.
We appreciate parent cooperation to allow for our professional development activities.
